For the peaks you see coming
A limited-quantity sale, at an announced time.
Registrations opening for a course, a contest, a race.
Tickets for an event, sold on your own site.
WordPress, WooCommerce or a custom site: all it takes is pasting one line in the <head> of your pages.
How it works
- 1
Before opening
Visitors who arrive early wait together, in front of a countdown. Nobody has a place yet.
- 2
At the set time
The order is drawn at random among everyone present. Arriving five hours or five minutes early changes nothing, and neither does reloading the page.
- 3
After that
New arrivals line up behind, in order of arrival. The queue moves as soon as a seat frees up: purchase completed, visitor gone or inactive.
You set how many people can be on your site at the same time. Your visitors see, live, how many people are ahead of them and the estimated wait.
One line to paste, nothing on your server
Create your event, then paste this line in the <head> of your pages. Clear your site’s cache once, and you are ready.
<script>(function(d,e,u){var c=0,k=0,h,s;try{c=+localStorage.getItem('awaitee:'+e+':calm')||0;k=localStorage.getItem('awaitee:'+e+':config')?1:0}catch(x){}if(c<Date.now()){h=d.createElement('style');h.id='awaitee-hide';h.textContent='html{visibility:hidden!important}';d.head.appendChild(h);setTimeout(function(){h.remove()},k?2000:800)}s=d.createElement('script');s.src=u;s.async=true;s.dataset.event=e;d.head.appendChild(s)})(document,"k3f9x2ab","https://awaitee.com/a.js")</script>
- Outside an event, the script only reads the event’s times: your visitors do not wait.
- If Awaitee does not answer, your page still shows after 2 seconds: an outage on our side leaves your site open.
- You choose the protected pages: the whole site, or only product pages, cart and checkout.
A fair queue, not a bot barrier
The queue runs through your visitors’ browsers. A program that calls your cart or checkout directly, without opening your pages, gets past the queue. We would rather say so here, and your dashboard reminds you.
A single program could also ask for many places to raise its odds. That is why every event starts with a Cloudflare Turnstile check at the queue entrance, invisible most of the time. You can add a cap on places per IP address, and hide your site from browsers without JavaScript.

An event lasts 7 days at most, from the opening of the waiting room to the end of the protection.
A visitor counts as soon as they get a place in the queue. Past the threshold, new arrivals go straight to your site, without a queue; those already queuing keep their place.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to change hosts or go through Cloudflare?
No. Your site stays where it is. Only the line you paste loads a small script from Awaitee.
Can a visitor who got in keep their seat forever?
No. Their seat frees up if they stay inactive longer than the delay you set, and at the latest at the maximum visit length. If they come back afterwards, they queue again, behind the people already waiting.
Can I stop the queue midway?
Yes, at any time, from the dashboard. Your site opens again to everyone within about a minute.
What do you keep about my visitors?
Awaitee does not store their IP address. If you turn on the cap per IP address, only an encrypted fingerprint is kept, and it is deleted one hour after the event ends. The details are in our privacy policy.
